I have a 92 Mustang 5.0. the car was put in storage for about 6 months over the winter. When we went to get it out of storage we noticed we could hear the fuel pump running for a long period of time and the engine would not start. Fuel pump would run for about a minute then the engine would start and run fine. Ran it the rest of the day with no problems. After sitting overnight we had the same problem. Fuel pump ran for about a minute. engine would not start until pump quit running. We replaced the fuel pump, installed new fuel filter and new pressure regulator valve. With gauge on Schrader valve, turn key on it instantly goes to 40PSI, started vehicle pressure drops to 35. everything appears to be working correctly. After leaving it sit for 10-15 mins pressure will drop to 27 then slowly drop down to 10/12psi within the next hour. After sitting for a few hours it will drop to zero. then we have the same problem all over again. Pulled the fuel rails out, checked all the injectors/o'rings and found no leaks. Plugged return line and pressure does hold longer but still drops. Installed a 2nd new pump and same thing. Any ideas or suggestions??
