Fuel Pressure Schroder valve

I was testing the fuel pressure in the car, except, I'm not getting any with the tester and the valve I have it hooked into... where I'm jacked in is on the pass side of the water pump fuel line... should there be a different plug I'm going into?

Nope, it's the only one.

i'm not sure on this so don't quote me but, some of those guages may not work right with the schrader valve still in......anyone else have any comments about this???

Never ran into that problem, although I do have professional grade equipment. Poor quality gauge could be the problem.



Look in the end of the hose to be sure the schrader depressor is in there.

You guys are right - I bet the plunger in the end of the tool's fitting is not depressing the Schrader valve core in the fuel rail.

Do you need to remove the Shroder Valve before installing a FP Gauge?

If you see a pintle inside the pressure gauge tool (the part that screws onto the Schrader valve), you should not need to remove the core. In my experience, most tools dont have your remove the valve core, since doing so presents a fire hazard.
