so i got this 87 carbureted notchback im having fuel pressure problems , so when i start the car the pressure is at about 6-7psi after warming up it drops to about 3-4 and will not raise anymore if trying to adjust the regulator i tried replacing fuel pump, carb, and checking all gas lines. Any idea of whats going on

What carb is on there?
Is it running out of gas at high rpms?
3-4 lbs on a carb is on the low end of good,
Oh, manual pump or electric?

edelbrock 650 and yes it loads up alot and i have a holley red electric pump

Sounds like your Holley fuel pump is failing
The carb needs 5 to 6 lbs
The new pump will put out almost double that and so you will have to adjust the regulator down again

If you have one of the little 1.5 inch gauges before the carb when the engine and gauge gets hot the gauge doesn’t read correctly. Did you fix it yet ?
