Hi everyone I'm new but I'll get to my problem so I replaced my cats and o2 sensors in my 1994 Ford mustang v6 and then my car died on the road so I couldn't here my fuel pump so I traced my wired and checked fuses and everything checked out fine so I replaced the fuel pump and the filter and it still didn't want to start so I replaced my ccrm and it still didn't start so I said F it ran my own power and ground with a fuse and a switch and bypass the computer system and it still didn't start so I pulled my plugs out and they where wet so I thought the regulator replaced that and it still doesn't start please help I don't want to get rid of my girl

Was not sure it this belongs here, it is a 94 sn95 v6, is the 96 v6 computer system any different from the 94's?

Wow. That's a lot of parts to replace without a "fix".

Just wondering. Have you verified spark?

I replaced the coil pack like two weeks before it all happened and I got new wires a year ago and sense this year I replaced three sets of spark plugs but last night I was replacing my crankshaft sensor and there is bare wires for cps plug

I believe they are different because some models have the same computer and some don't because emissions changed in 96

My reasoning here is that the 94-5 v6 is obdll and the 94-5 v8 is still obdl, at least that is my understanding, and this is a sn95 v6 tech forum, this is because I believe you have an ignition problem not fuel related.

Ya I think I do because I found two bare wires on my crankshaft position sensor plug and yes my mustang is the obd2

Without a valid crank shaft sensor signal (CKP) the PCM will not know WHEN to fire the spark or the fuel injectors. It would be EXPECTED to have no spark and no fuel without a valid CKP sensor signal.

Well I replaced the plug where the bare wires where and replaced the sensor and it still doesn't want to run I'm just wondering can you ruin spark plugs from getting to wet with gas

The plugs would have to be TOTALLY fouled with unburnt fuel to be ruined to the point where the motor will not run. Regardless a simple visual inspection would answer the question one way or the other.

If you don't mind my saying this, it seems like you are reaching/guessing.......

I'm going back to my first post. Have you CONFIRMED spark? The tester is not that $$ and will totally remove any guess work.

Amazon product ASIN B0002STS44View: https://www.amazon.com/Lisle-50850-Ignition-Spark-Tester/dp/B0002STS44/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1506889840&sr=8-6&keywords=lisle+spark+plug+tester

Also are you aware that many Ford product the check engine light will go out during cranking IF a valid CKP sensor signal is received. Not sure if the pre-ODB2 (1996) will do this.

Well I tested my plugs with a inline tester and I got no absolute power to any of my plugs does that mean my ignition control module went out

I went back over this thread, one thing has not been done is check for codes, I know an obd2 reader is an inexpensive tool to have, and I have little experience with this system but that is what I would do.

I'm just wondering I cut the fuel pump off of the original harness will this be my cause of my problems or does the car don't care that it's not on it's wire harness
