Fuel rail pressure sensor...?

I threw a code for my fuel rail pressure sensor (open circuit) last week.. So, I figured it was bad, and replaced it today. After several hard pulls, the code came back! My car is blown, and I have a Focus pump/BAP installed..

Any ideas? The sensor is brand new.. the plug looks fine, as does the wiring..

What's the exact code? Your VREF voltage should be between 4.0V and 6.0V.

I'll have to go and pull it again.. but, IIRC, it's Fuel pressure sensor open circuit. I'll pull my volt meter out and check the voltage.

Just a random thought here, but how is your fuel pressure? Perhaps there is a limit to what pressure that sensor can properly measure, and your BAP and pump are spiking it past that.

iirc KB sells an isolator that will prevent the fuel pressure from popping that sensor. may be your problem?

The sensor range is between 20 and 60 PSI. If the pressure exceeds 60 PSI it can set code P0191 and damage the sensor.
