a couple months ago as some of you may remember, i had to pump many gallons of water out of my tank while it was sitting on the side of the road at my parents house. since then, my fuel gauge has been stuck on over full. thinking that i could safely get about 150 miles out of the tank i topped it off and started driving. well i made it to about 70 miles when i thought it ran out. i put some gas in it and drove it to a gas station where it would only take 6 or 7 gallons. once in a while i think i can hear something metal moving around in the tank. i think that something happened to the pick up and its just hanging out in there or something. last time i ran out i was only at like 4 miles to the tank. I've been waiting to drop the tank in a buddy's garage, since i live in an apt complex. last night i was driving home from work and it wasn't running on all 8 cylinders, and wouldn't stay idling on it own. it was running like real hell, then all of a sudden it would fire on all 8 and run fine. it was intermittent. i thought i was about to run out of gas so i topped it off and it only took 3 gallons and it didn't fix the problem. i still think the problem is my pick up. what do you guys think?

it is the baffle that surrounds the pick up, it has come unwelded and restricting flow to the pump.
