So it all began when I was stupid and forgot to make sure my headlight was in all the way... and as it turns out.. a month later, my silverstar fell out, kinda, and melted the crap out of the back of my headlight housing... So time for upgrades the normal way... Break something, and fix it with something better...
Finally an excuse to go HID

Found a set of BMW E46 projectors, ballasts, and bulbs off of ebay...
Got a wiring harness from suvlights.com
Fiberglass, resins, hardener..
Bondo and cream hardener...
A bunch of sand paper, files, and a ton of latex gloves...
And that is all the supplies I needed really to do it...
The only other supplies I've needed, was the guidance and help from Mustang5L5 and Raceoholic330... both helped greatly!!! Thanks again!!!

Sorry about the crappy pictures... $100 digital camera from wal-mart three years ago is sucking massively at the moment...

So first step was to create shrouds to create a sealed beam into the projector lense...
1) Covered lights with aluminum foil to keep the projector safe and whatnot...
View attachment 423729
2)Mixed Resins and hardener...
View attachment 423731
3) Fiberglassed the lights and let them dry...

View attachment 423735
4) Cut the ends off... Checked the fit again...
View attachment 423737
View attachment 423739
5) Bondo'd and smoothed up the shrouds...

View attachment 423743
6) Used the shrouds to mark up and cut holes in the lights and mounting bracket for light...

View attachment 423749
7) Wired up ballasts... Test fit projectors... Test fit projector aim...

8) After fitting the lights... I painted the shrouds... Then fiberglassed the shrouds to the lights (not exactly pretty... function over form)... Then taped off the lights, and painted them too...

9) Epoxied the projectors into the shrouds already attached to the lights... Waited until dry, then mounted the lights into their normal spot...

10) Done... lights on... easy stuff...

Thanks again to Mustang5L5 and Raceoholic330!!!

It came out great... I love them... yep yep...
Christmas will bring Ultra Clear Lights and more fiberglass work... my buddy Ethan is going to take my smoked lights and we'll get him fixed up with some projectors and ballasts of his own..

Very nice man, looks like it came out real well. Did you wire up the high beams too?
