Don't know if it was coincidence or not, but when I first bought my car it was missing the cap to the schraeder valve. I would always smell gas in my car, and when I popped the hood one time I noticed gas bubbling out of the valve. Bought a new cap, popped it on, havn't smelled it since.

#1 place to check is where the gas fill tube connects to the tank!!! This gasket fails so much that the local Tasca Ford knew exactly what i was asking for when i called. Its the 1st place i would check!!!

It can also be that burrito you had for lunch.

Check the EVAP system too. The lines crack. When it gets hot out and the lines are super soft, you start smelling the fumes.

Just to update on this. I was rather dumb. All gasket's are fine, hoses good and such. I guess I neglected to screw the gas cap on all the way and it slowly came off letting my fuel evaperate rapidly. So that was the smell and I've learned my lesson. But thanks for the help guys.
