It has a light for low fuel-unless the bulb is burnt out.

Tank capacity is 15.4 gallons.

The low fuel light should turn on during start-up. If you dont see it at all, its probably out.

Tank capacity is 15.7 gallons, and the low fuel light comes on at 3 gallons remaining.

Whaa?

I've ran out of gas in my a couple of times before. I have never seen a low fuel light come on since i got the car. Are you sure 96-98 mustangs have this light? Any one have one with a pic? I find it kinda wierd that it burns out.

As far as i remember they dont have a gas light. I have owned a 95 gt, 95 v6 and now a 97 cobra and none of the three cars had that light. I believe the newer (99 up) cars have it.

So just go put some gas in it?

Only Mustangs with LOW FUEL warning lights are the 87-89 GT's and the 99+ Mustangs.

I'm also pretty sure my '98 GT has no gas light. My old '89 GT did, though.

No, they didn't forget it's called weight reduction. 96-98's were slightly heavier so they compensated by not adding that extra light bulb and wires.
