I can't help but think. I wonder if you could rent a semi and tanker and drive back for Venezeula for less than the cost of that much fuel here.

I have been contemplating taking a job that is an hour and a half drive away. Its about a 400 dollar a week raise. But I dont know if it would be much more after the price of gas.
Considering I only fill up once a month driving to the job I have now.

I guess it depends on a few things. That is 15 hours a week you are not at home. It is earlier you have to wake up and later you get home. And depending on what kind of car you are daily driving. Depends on how many times a week you fill up. And how much it costs you each time.

I've been doing the hour + commute for a few years now.

It sucks. In traffic it can span beyond 2 hours through the eastside.

Oh and now I'm in a 500hp+ car to suck the gas but really can't and won't complain because it's my own mess to deal with although the gas prices are just unbelievable. $3.25 today in Redmond.

I take it you haven't got a copy of For Rent in front of you. I'm looking at it. And they start at $625. And go up to $1010. For one bedrooms. Archstone in Redmond is $740. Not a bad place. The heights is another place. Not bad and starts at $820. Since I work in redmond now I have been looking.

forgot to mention that it will be 24 hour shifts. Work 24 on, and have 48 off.

Here's the sad part to all of this gas stuff: It's going to turn a lot of nice daily drivers into garage queens, only to be taken out on the weekends. We'll use Yamaha's, Hyundi's or a beater Geo Metro to get to work.
