I have a standard 00 vert mustang and I want to have both tires to spin. NOT FOR BURNOUTS although I will enjoy that but its more for winter. My stang is my winter car and I figured having both tires grip would be better off IF I DRIVE in certain winter conditions. I plan not to drive it when I can but you cant always plan that way cause stuff comes up. But anyways My question is whats the difference between the stock gear the 3.73 and the 4.10 gears. What does each size usually achieve? Launching, speed, ect? im not really sure which gear size will achieve what. But I figured if I get a T-LOK installed if I upgrade to a 3.73 or 4.10 which I dont know what to do because no 1 has really given some useful advice on what the 3.73's and 4.10's do. AS I plan on upgrading this car alot later on just not right now as to winter when summer roles around Ive got plans. But if I do upgrade to a gear which is better? OVERALL for everything. Not just 1 specific thing if they do that. not exactly sure what the different size gears do. So if someone can explain what stock, 3.73 and 4.10 gears do and which would be overall better for performance, taking off, ect. And If i upgrade to the 3.73 or 4.10 will the T-LOK on this website http://www.v6mustangstuff.com/drivetrain2.htm be suffecient for the upgraded gears? I was hearing of wear and tear and worries me is there a better T-LOK system or what? Anyways please help me i dont wanna buy the T-LOK or gear before I get some advice. Especially because I live in MASS and well winters here can be nuts. The more input the better.
