I know I want them to lower when the radiator fan comes on, just dont know what temp is good.

What else does the stock computer do that can be made better or fixed?

anything that really sucks about our computers?

Mine is the t4mo i believe, i switched it when i did the 5-speed swap, one thing i dont like is th 7k rev-limiter, or maybe it doesent have one i dunno.



I am going to get it dyno tuned with a superchip.

i have a question about your aode to t5 swap... was there any wiring you needed to get the reverse lights/ neutral safety to work or are all the plugs there and just plug in

I got the 5-speed swap kit from AMP, all mustang performance.

It came with every nut and bolt.


You need the 5-speed wiring harness, I did not install the neutral saftey switch, so I can start car without engaging the clutch pedal.

It is a pretty easy swap, took about 2 days, not working solid so about 8 hours maybe dunno.

You will get valve float way before you hit 7K so dont worry about over revving it that high.

You don't have much to worry about if they are good they will know what to do to sqeeze out all the hp they can. They will adjust what ever is needed. "If" you want they can delete the EGR function from the computer so you can discard that whole system either than that your good. Hopefully someone who has gotten a dyno tune will jump in and give more info. Good luck and post your results please.

what would be a good rpm to set the rev-limeter too? 6,250?

anyone that has had there car dynoed tell me what all they did

When Werks Motorsports dynoed mine all they did was ask me what to rev it to, and I told them 5,800. I think if you're doing a chip they'll ask you everything they need to know. I wouldn't think they'd fly blind at it.

Yeah, they do this so much that I wouldn't worry too much.

high speed fan coming on at 190 sounds good to me. It may make it work a little harder than normal, but that will keep your motor cooler. Much better for performance.

Valve float as I understand it is when the motor is spinning so fast that the valve springs cannot close the valves in time because they are not strong enough, and the cam is spinning too fast, so by the time they start to close, the lobe of the cam is back again to open it.

Not good to do to your motor.

As far as the rev limiter, I think you should set it 500 rpm's higher then your highest shift point. So 6300 sounds good, assuming a max shift point of 5800. Might save your motor in case something bad happens, like your throttle sticks open.
