trying to work something out with blood in auburn

Took my mustang in to blood interprize in auburn for dyno tune three weeks ago, they said it had a bad mass air meter, had them order one, they said it would take 5 days to get , 17 days later I got one, off the shelf granatelli for 24 lb injectors for $360.00 (summit)240.00.
I have 55lb. need blow through for the procharger.took the car in thrusday, checked friday They have not even looked at it and don't know if meter will work?? another weekend without car. Might just go get car monday, and give there meter back (if they will take it)Anybody know of good tuner seattle, tacoma? will keep you posted.

Sorry to hear that bro. Live and learn, that is all I can say.

This is why I do all my own work.

I hope you get it all straightened out and welcome aboard to stangnet.

I think blood does decent to great work from what I have always heard BUT their prices are only for someone with money to burn IMO.

Total Performance on South Tacoma Way has an excellent mechanic. They are not cheap, though.

Good to see you on Stangnet again, Steve. When are you going to make it to the track?

I just posted a thread about my experience with Brad's Custom Auto -- might be worth a call there as well.

One of these days john. I promise. It may not be until the all for day. I am broker than broke right now and it looks to be that way for quite some time.
I simply cannot afford to break my car right now. It needs to remain driveable.

I heard the same about blood. Also that they are not the quickest getting things doen either. Afriend had his car there for a few weeks once, they never got the dyno tune done and tried to charge him allot for fixing wiring they claimed had to be done..

First off, what do you have to tune with? Gen 7, FAST, Chip, none of the above.

As far as tunning, most of my tunning is done at Turbo Tech in Tacoma and it's done by George the owner. Good luck

Will

I do not dispute your complaint or any complaints against Blood given in this string. Most of the complaints regard management and billing. However, I know some of the technicians who work there and I have found them to be knowledgeable and more than willing to help other people with problems at the track. One of them even loaned me his ET streets to make a pass. He had to leave his car on stands to do it. Incidentally, the ET Streets were worth amost half a second over my 275-15 drag radials. So, at least some of the technicians are practicing racers (and Ford owners) and enthusiastic about building performance. Having said that, I must mention that I have never taken my car to Blood; I do my own work.

that's ****ty that you feel that they're giving you the runaround
I'd give them the benefit of the doubt though. about the mass air meter, I see where you'd need the blowby meter, but as far as which injectors they are for, it doesn't matter, I've talked with them a bit and they prefer to calibrate the computer instead of teh meter, I guess it's more accurate that way.
