You probably won't notice more than 10 to 20 RWHP. The intercooler robs about 2-3lbs of boost, or atleast mine does. Likewise, according to paxton, my LT's also rob around 2 lbs of boost too. I was only seing a max of 7lbs of boost with my setup with the stock 3.5" pulley. But as far as efficiency is concerned you will have the ultimate setup.
Tim, where's my power pipe? I also need that Mini race welded on the paxton discharge tube right before the TB elbow. Hook it up man! You now I have money.

I heard that gains were at least 30hp at the rear wheels if you pulley down to get back the lost boost...

What size pulley does he have now? And soes he have a Paxton or a Vortech? But yes, If he pulleys down enough to see the boost he had before, hell ya he'll see 30 RWHP. I am just speeking from experience, intercooler LT's and stock pulley 3.5". I then dropped down to a 3.3 and am waiting for the Steeda Powerpipe. With just the pulley and DR's, I went from a 13.3 to a 12.2 in the 1/4. Any haters, I have the slips in another post to prove it.

On a stock bottom end? Wow, that's pretty good.

BTW, thanks for specifying about that pulley. You're right

I have the intercooler and the 3.2 pulley. Today, while getting on it, I saw 11 lbs of boost. 2 months ago on the dyno in warmer wearher I saw 9 lbs of boost. I wouldn't be surprised if I'm close to 430hp now with more boost(and the addition of that plenum)

Yes... I'm in agreement there. I might have Tim do a little tweeking to my tune once I get the larger throttle body. I haven't had it dyno'd in 3 months and I'm wondering how much this colder air will affect the numbers.

I thought your race bypass was setup to bleed off anything over 10psi? I remmeber seeing that somewhere on the boards.

Spitfire, with our adaptive tune, the computer can add or subtract timing. Our tunes add timing when it's cold. Perhaps he feels more power from the timing advance and not necessarily more boost.

Hmm... Now that you said that it makes me wonder. It should be blowing off air by by volume and the cold air shouldn't really have any thing to do with it. ? I know I saw 9 or so a month ago and now I'm definitely seeing more than that? I don't have an answer.

I'm not sure how the bypass works, but I was under the assumption you could dial down that screw and it would bleed boost off. If it was set when the weather was warmer and now the charger is pushing more boost in the cold, it probably wouldn't "know" the difference? I am only speculating, since I don't even have mine installed, or much less know anything about how they work.

Im sorry.....They ruined my blown GT. No vote for Jason. He was tuning my car one day and all of a sudden, he was gone to lunch. Later that day, when it was time to pay, i got hit with $800. LMAO. And it still detonated on the way home.

On the other hand, Tim just tuned my Cobra in less than 2 hours and it is PERFECT!

What? That SOB Jason is eating lunch again? If you weren't happy, why didn't you take it back. Higgins always stands behind their work. Hardly sounds like they ruined your car. I'm sure there is more to the story than you are telling, but you should take that up with Higgins, not here.

They charged me $800 for their time, which netted nothing. There comes a point when you say...."If they cant do it right after 2 times, what makes you think they can get it right the third?" The third time might be the time it goes KABOOM. Especially having to drive 1.5 hours and wait. And last thing......I couldn't take listening to Jason's continuous playing of the "Hoobastank" CD.

PS Jim, I "think" that you live somewhat of a tense or "edgy" life, just from seeing your posts for the last year or two, it always looks like your somewhat of a fuddy-duddy when it comes to replies and all. Not saying that I dont like you, but, loosen up a little man. You only live once.
