i cant believe you traded that straight up... there's gotta be a catch, you sure theres not a body in the trunk?

And BTW, you coulda at least sold me those seats before you shipped it away... sick car though you should put a cracked out LS motor in it

The catch was that I was in the right place at the right time and the guy's 16 year old kid fell in love with my coupe and wanted the trade. The trade was straight up. And this car is either getting a turbo LS1 or a big block and a built muncie 4 speed. Don't reveal all my plans!!

I kinda agree with everyone else on here. was there a catch??? I love foxes and while yours looked spotless, you got the better bargain out of this. right place at the right time type of thing??? I would definitely hold onto that thing and take it to the grave with me.

Yeah I made out pretty well on this deal, but my coupe was painfuly clean, so we both made out. And I plan on giving this car to my grandkids one day.

Haha, the dash was a learning experience. I appreciate all your help with it, man. I will have a fox again some day.

on any good day your coupe was worth at most 8500-9k after that people just dont pay for a fox, unless its a 93 cobra. You got a retarded good deal, one only a chevy guy would be stupid enough to do

I loved your coupe, but I think i would have made the deal as well...looks like you got alot of car there for a straight up deal. Probably just gained $6000-8000 in equity by trading cars IMO. Looks great!

You dont see too many deals like that, i woulda done the same thing, you can still find fox rollers for under 1k, but you could spent 5000 on a junk chevelle easy

Yeah, I hear that. I was just in the right place at the right time on this one and made out pretty damn well.

Thanks Dave! I loved my coupe too and put two years of blood, sweat, tears, and hard cash into it, but this deal couldn't pass me by or else I'd have regretted it big time. The overwhelming response from everyone including diehard mustang guys is that I made the right decision.

I agree. These GM A bodies pull stupid money all day every day. There are rotted out ones on ebay right now for 5k where you can put your foot through the floors and see the pavement through the trunk.

A friend of myne sold his 73 challenger, in rough shape with a factory 318, not a very desireable car at all, and it needed TONS of body work, for $8000. this was like 6 months ago, i was shocked he sold it. i didnt think the car was worth 2200

I'm not surprised, Mopars pull even MORE in even WORSE condition than the GM A bodies. This Chevelle is really clean, and I plan on taking very good care of it, but I'm also driving it as long and as hard as I want. Every company out there rains restoration parts for 64-72 chevelles, so I'm not too worried about it.

I guess its a good thing we never swapped hoods + cash, well, for your sake anyway. I always really liked your notch and had plans on buying it that one time. I wouldn't have traded but when you put that craigslist ad up a few months ago you were originally looking to trade for a 60s muscle car. You should be able to get good pics of your own up after this sh itty weekend. What are your plans?

Yeah, I'm just a muscle car guy at heart. Nothing makes me happier than driving a car like this. It's supposed to be nice tuesday, wednesday and thursday. I should have some new pics up then. My plans for the car are up in the air. For now I'm gonna drive it and enjoy it as is, but in the future I see a BBC and a Muncie 4 speed, or an LSx swap if I'm feeling crazy.

FYI- I have written permission from a mod to post these pictures of a non-mustang. If there are any issues please refer to 302 LX Coupe.

Took some more pics of the Chevelle today, check 'em out and let me know what you guys think!
