The UPS guy just dropped off this today...

It's a Flaming River quick ratio power rack and the guy I got it from says it's got 9000 miles on it. Visually it looks fine, but is there anything I can check before I install it? I might not be able to put it in for a couple weeks.

And does anyone have a write-up on a rack swap?

I just want to know if I need to jack the engine and I know there's a procedure for bleeding the air out of the system but I can't remember where I saw it.

I got mine out cleaned it replaced the rack bushings in just an hour. Its really simple but then again I have a lift. But shouldnt be that bad on the ground. Just mount the car securely on jack stands and block the wheels.

Is that a hose clamp I see on the right hand side? Flaming river racks come with cinch rings, not hose clamps, looks like something was repaired there. I would check that out.
Otherwise looks pretty good, it takes a bit of getting used to once installed. Did you get the solid steering shaft?

I would pull the boots back and check the inner tie rods.

I believe the guy I bought it from was using synthetic ATF and I'll be using regular power steering fluid per Flaming River, will I run into any problems with the switch of fluid?
