Alright, I dunno...just worried. Before I get angry I dont know about these but its suppose to be a 157 Tooth 50 oz. Imbalance, Billet Steel Flywheel. It looks alright, but is there anyway for me to distinguish? I paid $150 Shipped from some guy and whats wierd the it doesnt look like what I expected.

The balancing plate is welded on with 6 large welds, it has a yellow sticker that states "SFI......Thismfg. Certifies that this product meets SPEC 1.1 (then goes on with a number B 064174" On the Flywheel the Part number is FW-1610. The box is white with a black circle(kinda like a moon) with a Puma or panther across the circular shape.

Can anyone help me identify this, as a true billet steel flywheel, or did somone just stiff me with some cheap part?

Looks to be what it says it is.
I did a search on google and came up with this:
http://www.kajunjon.com/Main/flywheel_clutchkit.html
If you scroll down you will see the 1610 is the 50oz 157 tooth flywheel.
And they retail for 160, so looks like a good buy.
How did you expect it to look?

I found out its a All CAT. This exact one..http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2480092302&sspagename=STRK:MEWN:IT I didnt expect it to look anything special, but with the welds like they are in the links picture it worried me.

I looked at the link picture. That looks like complete junk to me. I don't even think I'd run it. The thing has hot spots right from the factory. They can't tell me the way they have that welded won't effect the way it wears. I'll bet it chatters like crazy in a short amount of time.

So is it worth putting on, and running it?

I wouldn't. The hot spots they created when they welded it aren't going to wear the same as the rest of the flywheel. They changed the temper in those particular spots.

Whats the worst damage it could do? Should I just try and resurface my flywheel(stock) for the Spec Stage 2 Clutch?

You could run it till it gives you trouble. Just don't be surprised when it does. The bad thing is you hate to even resell something like that. I'd be embarrassed to ship that to someone even if it was brand new.

RETURN IT....Re0surface the stocker for $20 or buy a new one for $99. The SFI ones are nice but you really do need it for the mods you have, install some good ARP flywheel bolts while it is apart. I'd spent the money on a blow proof bell if you don't have one.
