I am going to purchase a fiberglass hood from vfn fiber glass and am wondering if any one is interested in a new hood as well, it could save quite a bit in shipping. I am calling tommorrow to see how much it would be so if anyone is interested let me know.

Who the hell is VFN Fiberglass? I've been in this hobby since 1978 and have never heard of them.

any word on thier quality? Fit and finish? I have two cars that need hoods, and trunk lids.
But I would like to know if its going to be worth it.

I have talked to them several times and they seem to have a good rep... I couldn't find anything BAD about them unlike abc whose quality is a running joke. I have settled on them because of their selection is quite good. I was looking for a 5 inch cowl induction pin on hood that was not extended to the wind sheild and was light weight. I had a cervini hood on my car that I sold because I needed the taller hood. When I pulled it off I weighed it and was shocked ... it was 40lbs! vfn pin on 5 inch cowl can be as little as 13 lbs. In racing terms thats like switching to skinny front tires! Any way take a look at their web site and check the selection of mustang pieces they offer. It is a pretty good selection. I will be ordering in the next week because it takes 6 weeks for delivery if anyone wants in let me know I will know more tommorrow about shipping costs and savings if more than one hood is shipped together.

Its hard to beat fit and finish on Cervini, but this company builds race car parts- I would expect the parts detail to not be so "crisp". Its a function over flair thing.

exactly, VFN makes parts for race cars not show cars. They are more after keeping it light and functional than making it pretty, although from what I've seen/heard at the track the fit and finish are quite good and require similar prep to a cervinis. I don't know if they offer any hinge-mount bolt on style hoods however.

I talked to vfn the shipping cost is 150 for one hood and about 160 for two and from there it averages out to about $70 apeice give or take. What Water Pog says sounds about right they do have bolt on style as well as pin on style hoods.
Anyway I am ordering next week so if anyone is interested speak up.
