I want to do a gt40 swap on my intake is it better to swap the upper and the lower or both?

The round Explorer/ GT40 ports will not line up with the stock ovals very well.
If you have the parts and ability, change it all. If they are GT40p heads, you will want to match the springs to your camshaft. It is probably a good idea if you have used parts anyway.
