I picked up a GT40 upper and lower intake, and was wondering what the black 3 piece fitting is used for(mid right of intake)? Also how to run the rest of my tubing? Thanks
Vacuum is the same throughout the intake manifold. The only thing that isn't supposed to share a vacuum line is the fuel pressure regulator; it gets its own private vacuum line. Thanks for all the info! I appreciate it. Are there any pictures on how the hoses should be set up on my upper intake? Do I need to tap in those brass barbed fittings or can I use what’s there? Are the 2 little coolant tubes that branch from the vacuum tube suppose to be used or are they capped?
Ok got ya, thank you!!Vacuum is the same throughout the intake manifold. The only thing that isn't supposed to share a vacuum line is the fuel pressure regulator; it gets its own private vacuum line.
Ok I figured, thanks!Yes, you can use a bigger spacer. I'm running an edelbrock 3829 75mm spacer on mine.
Thanks!!stick with the 19's, explorer injectors have a better spray pattern, I think they may need adapters, not sure.
some speed density systems don't play well with big changes, you may need to consider a maf conversion, let us know how it works out.
Do you remember what size the barbed fittings were? Also what size hole/ and taps did you use? Thanks3 port fitting is vacuum in center, and coolant on the sides. Pull the fittings and drill tap and set up like below
Ok thanks!I think 1/4". The vac line stretches over the barbs so you have a little room to play with.
I used a mix of 1/4npt, 1/8npt and the factory black vac tree was 3/8" npt.
