GT500 Muffler Sound Comparison

After listening to 100's of sound bytes on the internet I came to the conclusion that what was needed was a way to compare the sound of mufflers that was not subjective. I just installed a set of FRPP GT500 axleback mufflers, part number M-5230-MGTCA1. I posted a YouTube video where I used a sound meter to measure the volume of the stock mufflers and the GT500 mufflers at idle, 4000 and 5000 rpm. The procedure was defined by several state agencies that place limits on muffler volume. The meter was placed at the same height as the mufflers at a 45 degree angle and a distance of 20 inches. For those that are wondering if the GT500 mufflers are louder, the answer is yes. Here is a link to the video. The installation was smooth and took about an hour. The sound is exactly the throaty growl I was looking for and absolutely no drone on the highway.
