as long as they use it correctly. correct weight, multiple runs in opposite directions on a flat road and drop the high/lows.

Also understand that they do not take the average of the final 45 feet of the 1/4 mile and they do not account for wheelspin on launch. Other than that they are fairly accurate.

I have one. I love it. The only problem I had is that I couldn't get the shift light to work properly on my current car. I will be getting my 05 GT in early Decemeber so I will be sure to do some runs then.

Thanks for the heads up, I didn't realize they finally got the firmware upgrade done .
The thing is very useful if you just understand it's limitations and exactly what it is telling you.

Yeah! I choose the RR because I do some race track lapping time, so with my labtop in passager seat and my RR plugin... I have all the info I need's to do better time and fast cornering G! But for most of the guy's the SS is enough...

Yeah, I have one too. Snazzy little device! I ran a 14.90 1/4 @ 112.9 mph in my friend's '05 GT, but that was with more than a little wheel spin off the line, first, and second. Let me put it to you this way... my 0-60 was deep into the 6 second range! Ouch! Street... er... track temps were about 35-40 degrees that day AND the road was not in the best shape... so it was less a lack of car and more a lack of driving ability. The only problem that I have with the G-Tech SS is trying to keep it stuck to the windshield for more than a couple of hours. Oh well. But aside from my EXTREME talent to make the drag strip look like a burnout pit, I would have to say that the 2005 GT has the makings of dipping into the VERY low 14 second times without much difficulty at all! Listed below are some of my best times with the G-TECH units.
1997 Supercharged Boss Shinoda 12.87 @107.5MPH / 404 RWHP
1998 Supercharged Saleen S-281 11.45 @142.7MPH /527 RWP (Car has been dyno'ed with 630HP @ the flywheel, so deducting tranny loss and off the line wheel spin, that is about accurate.) Note: This pass was made with the older G-TECH version.
2003 Mustang Cobra (Convertible) 12.97 @114.6 MPH /367 RWHP (I really hooked up off the line with this car! Best 60' times!)
1994 Mustang LX V6 (girl's car, had to do it!) 17.46 @79.4 MPH /102 RWHP!!! Hold onto your hats, fellas! Ya don't want none!!!
