I just bought a 92 LX. The Instrument panel lights are out and I don't have a owners manual so the fuse panel is all greek to me. Can someone shed some light on the subject for me? I would like a diagram that shows what all the fuses are for. Anyone think that it could be anything else? Are the heater controls lit up as well? If not all the other lights work. What else could be wrong? Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!

Do any of the dash lights work, including the hvac panel? If not, try the dimmer switch to the left of the steering wheel below the i/p. Looks like a wheel. Move it back and forth. If that doesn't work, take a test light and and check the fuses. The i/p fuse is usually a 5 amp fuse.

Good luck

Just took a drive and i wiggled the light switch and they come on. We went and ate dinner, come back out, wiggled again and nothing. I think I need a new light switch. How do I come about one of these fine items?

All of the stock gauges are controlled by the dimmer circuit (fuse 13). This would include the HVAC lighting.

Here is the fusebox diagram, courtesy of Tom Moss (author) and S&2B's (site host).

Good luck.

on my '88 GT, i just wiggled fuse 13 and that did it. turned out the fuseholder (the terminal on the end of the wire that sits in the fusebox) was loose...i just have to have the fuse pulled halfway out and the lights work just fine...

Man thats great....talk about service. I have always thought that these types of sites are better than any manual you could buy. Thanks for your response!

You should be careful with that. Bad connections can be very harmful. Shorts(as you know), fire. You should try to repair it.
