gutted H vs. 2.5" offroad

OK, I guess it's what the title says. I've got the stock cat gutted, but I'm thinking about getting an off-road H. Would I notice any power difference and/or sound difference? Positive, negative?

Appreciate it guys.

I've got the H listed in my sig, but it was used was rusted really bad so I just got my money back. I only gave $20 for it so no biggie.

The real difference is the 2.25" stocker vs. the 2.5" aftermarket piece. You would probably notice a slight change in the aftermarket one. Maybe 10HP difference ???

Gutted cats arnt all there cracked up to be. You end up with the exhaust bouncing around in an empty can which screws up the flow dynamics of the exhaust, creating back pressure and lower power and torque numbers. It does flow better than stock cats but not much, and it sounds like crap. After market H or X pipes will give you more power, sound better, and are more reliable. Go with the H.
