Meh....Wet vac rental + carpet shampoo + 2-3 hrs = good as new. Send them the bill for the rental and the shampoo and have it deducted from your rent and call it square.
....the carpets look like they could have used a good cleaning anyway.

Just seeing this post, but it was wise removing the carpet. I had an vehicle that had a leak and it rained hard for a few days and didn't know the floor board was getting flooded. It took forever for the insulation to dry out even after I had remove it.
I would show those picts to the apartment manager and ask for new carpet minimum, but they are going to probably tell you to file it with you insurance, and that they are not responsible for personal property. Although I know when I had renters insurance it only covers items in the apartment, not your vehicle, so it should fall under auto insurance. So if you have a low deductible I would talk with you insurance agent and show them those picts, they should help in some way.

Yea, the carpet has seen better days, but these pictures make it look really bad. It really isn't in terrible shape. Most of the discoloration you are seeing is just wet spots, and no, the foot areas aren't actually green.
Happy belated birf day mang. And yeah, hit them with the $800 est first
Then properly hide your speaker wires
Haha, the radio is pulled out and the wires were hanging. Again, it doesn't usually look that bad.
