Head swap book time?

Anyone have access to a repaire manuel or know what the book time is for a head swap on 96-98 Cobras? Shouldnt be too different than the GT Just trying to figure what it will cost me since I dont have the tools or expertiece for it.

20 hours. Some quote 18 tho, although 20 hours is the standard. Ima do it over about 4-6 days i think

15-20 hours, a lot of shops that have done them before can do them in around 10 hours.

All Data has 10.8 for both heads but they are low on the labor hours in general. I don't use it at work, but my GM guy does.

Mitchell has it at 12.8 for right and 10.8 for left... or 20.4 for both...


or 12.9 for a full engine R&R

Wow! Looks like labor will be 1000-1500 bucks Now I have to find a good set of "B" heads.

there was a set of ported b heads on the corral's classifieds.

Back in 2002 I had my h/s done. The book (dont know which) was 18 hrs.
18 * 75 = boatload of cash.
