Header/Starter clearence!?!?

I recently just put on Mac long tubes on my '98 GT.....everything is bolted down and in place, my question is the starter supposed to touching the header? if not how do I resolve this problem?

No it shouldn't. Check the part number on your receipt to make sure those are the right ones for the year of your car.

Oh man that would suck to have them installed to find out they are the wrong ones!!!!

nothing should touch the headers at all... nothing.. good luck man

they are the right ones....the starter is barley touching it....is the heat going to hurt the starter, if so is there a heat sheild that I can put on it?
