I've had my 97 GT since 72k miles and never used any oil as long as I've had it for the last 3 years. Well I changed the oil after I took it out from the winter.. and a couple months later I put full bassani midlengths, o/r X and catback on my car. Since I put them on I've put about 2-3k miles and noticed it puffed some smoke. Well I thought it was unburnt fuel being blown out but someone at work mentioned it looked like oil being burned..... so I checked my oil and it was really low.
The only other thing I've done since I took the car out was change the plugs and wires and that was after the exhaust was put on. The plugs that came out were stock with 94k on them. The plugs were not fouled, oil or fuel soaked. The looked just like a plug should.... just in dire need of being replaced.
I just changed the oil completely today and I'm going to keep an eye on oil level here... but has anyone ever had this happen from putting exhaust on and what would cause it all the sudden to decide to use oil??
