Ahhh another header thread. Most popular headers are probably bbk, hooker, and mac. As for gains, this 01 bullitt got 20rwhp and 15rwtq with bbk headers and a bbk h pipe. Another guy on here gained 23rwhp with hooker LT's and a hooker o/r x pipe. Definitely a worth while mod, which Im planning to do this summer. Ill be getting the mac lt's with o/r h pipe.

don't forget about SLP...good quality and finish

Bassani makes good mid lengths with a modular x pipe to fit

Just run a search for longtubes or headers. You will get 973478949788945 results.

I am the one who made the gain of 23 rwhp, but keep in mind that I have numerous intake mods and that the installation of the LT headers included a dyno tune. Also, keep in mind that Hooker LT ceramic coated headers will cost around $700, and the matching o/r x-pipe will cost around $135. Then, if you cannot install the LT headers yourself (which most can't), it will cost around $800-900 for installation. Having said all this, I believe that the gains are well worth it. Given my other mods were on the induction side, this was the next logical step especially since minimal gains come from replacing the catback exhaust.

The loss of backpressure will cause you to run rich. Thats why you get a tune!

If you are running lean you want a tune ASAP! Lean is very bad!!! Lean means there is more air than fuel and that is how you blow the motor.

I can get 3 pulls for $75, so maybe Ill get a before and after dyno with the lt's so I can see how much I gained and where my a/f ratio is at before and after the lt's. Then Ill get a tune if needed.

For $75 I would do it. It would be nice to have a before and after. If you do that post them up on here for sure.
