whats the difference between shorties and equal length. and equal length vs. long tubes.

equal length shorties are a pain in the ass

don't forget about mid-length too

You will find more info. if you do a search...but in short

Shorties- same configuration as stock manifolds, can use stock h-pipe
- equal length's even exhaust 'pulses' by having gases flow same distance thru all primary tubes.

Long tubes- depending on where you live may be illegal as the relocate 02 sensor
- require new h/x pipe for long headers
- cost more than shorties

In short, there it is.

Unequal are factory pieces.
Equal give a little more power, but are tough to install (all tubes are equal length)
and sound a little better.

Long tubes go all the way under the car and sound a little better .
