Been away from hot rods for 30 years, living in remote Alaska. On vacation in July of 09 the wife and I walked in to a Ford dealer and drove out in a candy red 2010 GT. Banging gears like a teenager, I got hooked. Again!
Put 600 miles on it in a week and put it away for a year. Had to go back to work. Spent the winter planing and buying parts for my retirement toy and had a blast installing the parts in 2010. Now it has JLT cold air intake, Kooks long tube headers, Hi flow cats and X pipe. Magnapack cat backs finished the exhaust and Brenspeed Detroit Rocker cams and tune made the little 281 screem. Installed an MGW shifter last month. Now I'm digging into the suspension. Funny as hell.
My sons (grown up and out of the house) just shake their heads. Gee dad, thats a brand new car. Well son, I'm having a mid life crises and this is my Li'l red sportscar.
