Had some problems with the radiator (nice big crack in the plastic after running something over on I35) It was replaced, but because of it the intake manifold cracked (running too hot, damn plastic) The car was running sluggish because of it and I could hear what sounded like a lot of air being pulled in (like a vacuum leak) I figured it was the intake and decieded to replace it and upgrade to a PI intake as well.

While doing this i also bought new PCV, Intake flow sensor, fuel pressure regulator, and EGR valve. I cleaned out the IAC and looked for any vacuum leaks. I put all new seals on the injectors (they looked clean).

The car is still running sluggish and still sounds like air is blowing. By sluggish I mean under 3000rpm seems like not enough gas it getting through but after 3-4000rpm it kicks in and runs okay. The only thing I can think of that I have not tried is replacing plugs and wire as I have already replaced the sparkplugs less than a month ago. OR a bad vacuum leak that I cant seem to find.

If it was a fuel pump the car wouldnt start. The fuel filter was replaced a month or so ago.

any ideas?

basicly, I spend $300+ for something that didnt really fix my problem.

turned out to be a vacuum not hooked up under the throttlebody (next to the intake flow sensor), thats what seemed to be leaking dont know what was hooked up to it yet but i plugged it. Runs pretty now.

sucks because i had the throttlebody off and on the ground and never even looked at it to see that penny size hole in it.

Quick question on cats, If I can smell a "egg" type smell when I get on the throttle hard is that a possible cat issue?
