HELP: Hood Question

I'm having a problem with my hood and am hoping that somebody can help me out here. The car is a '66 Fastback with a fiberglass cowl induction hood. The hood is attached with stock hood hinges with no springs. The problem is that on the freeway, at around 60-70mph, the rear of the hood tends to start lifting or "floating" up a bit. So, it comes up a bit and then slams back down.

Any ideas what could be causing this or how I can fix it?

Use Shelby light tension hood springs. You can find them from most Mustang parts vendors. They are smaller and have a lot less tension than regular springs and are what are used on Shelby Mustangs with fiberglass hoods.

I bought a couple springs from the local hardware store. You just need to be sure and get the correct length. Mine are a hair weak for the big fiberglass hood I have on my 73. It will stay up for me, but the wind is enough to push it down.
