my 2005 mustang v6 has a problem that i havent been able to resolve.
If i put the key foward, the fuel pump wont start.
But if i keep the key foward, desconnect and connect fuel pump, the fuel pump will start working.

Ive replaced the fuel pump and checked all fuses and relays.

Any idea what the problem could be?

Are you saying you have NO fuel pressure(the pump shuts off when pressurized) until you disconnect and reconnect POWER to the pump? What symptoms do you have? don-ohio ^)

What I mean in parenthesis above is that the pump achieves pressure to start the engine and then shuts off until pressure drops again or engine is started and running. don-ohio

Yes exactrly. But now it doesnt turn at all. I ran the car an the pump wont start even if i disconnect
