i am installing some headers and i removed my dipstick to get it out of the way and no i cannot find out where the hole is?? i have looked and looked..... please inform me!!!!!
Come on man! LOL! No I know, Ive been there recently with my long tube install. I mocked the headers on and forgot the oil dipstick tube. I had to remove the header to get a better look at what was going on. I hope you are using some nice MAC copper header gaskets or you could have leaks.
As they said - about 2/3's of the way back on the block just above the oil pan interface. It's nearly impossible to see from below the car because the block has an indentation in the casting that the hole lives in. Two people will help - one above locating the hole; one below to insert it. And I hope no one take any of this description out of context.
