How does the gear pattern look?

PINION SETUP:

PINION HEAD 1.886" SHIM 0.015"
PINION DEPTH 4.420"
4.420" - 1.886" (FORD RACING PINION HEAD) = 2.534"
3.100" - 0.566" = 2.534"

This is the tool i used:
http://static.summitracing.com/global/images/instructions/pinion setting tool combined atech.pdf

BACK LASH SETUP:

DS: 0.259" + 0.012" = 0.271"
PS: 0.100" + 0.100" + 0.020" + 0.020" + 0.020" = 0.260"
TOTAL BACK LASH 0.009"

Drive side:

Coast side:

From Summit:

Opinion: Your pattern looks a little like the 2nd one down (coast side biased toward the outer edge, drive-side more toward the center).

To me it looks like an improvement but I would say just a tiny bit more. But I have never done this before. Only read about it.

To me the 0.020" shim looks pretty good. I'd guess that if the backlash is right and the preloads are right you shouldn't get any noise with that.

I'd wait for one or two more opinions to be sure though

How did it come out? Am having mine done this week and might pass the info on to the guy doing it. I am sure he knows what he is doing but am still worried. This is my 3rd gear(the first 2 have winned).
