I am now down to prepping the engine bay for painting and ran into a problem. I can't get the master cylinder off of the push rod. I am changing the single to a duel. Any tips on how to remove a 40 year old master from a 66?

The push rod has to be disconnected from the pedal inside the car before the m.c can be removed.

Thanks for the info. The factory manual said to remove the 2 mounting bolts and pull the mc out. I guess even the factory isn't right all of the time.
