help with pre 87 doors!

alright guys .. there is a peice i need for my doors.. like a mettal part with a rubber seal that goes against the window.. mine is totally dried up rotted and has got some primer on it.. ware do i get this how do i get it off..looks like there is clips but i still cant get it... i looked in 5.0 resto with no luck they just had the one for the 87up doors...sooo ware do i get it and how to get it off..

do you need the inner or outer belt moulding?

forgot to say you need to take the mirror off and there should be a screw that holds it on if im not mistaken. otherwise just stick a small flat screwdriver under the corner edge and pry up, should come off.

im asuming you have manual mirrors. there should be 1 screw that holds the plate where you adjust your mirror to the door frame (inside), take that screw out now look at the plate, there will be a small allen set screw holding the adjustment knob to the plate, loosen the set screw so that the plate slides off. there should be 2 nuts that hold the actual mirror to the door frame. that should be it i think.

50 resto should have everything. It sounds like you need the "Dew wipes". They do have those. They have gotten a lot cheaper....about 2 years ago, I restored a 91 GT and they were 90 dollars each....yikes....

ok o got it off.. i think so atleast.. there are two pieces? what exactly comes with the "dew wipes" there was the dew wipe.. with another metal peice attached that is attached to the door.. does this all come with it?? i bent the ***** out of it getting those off it was a pita!!

yea the new dew wipes come with the metal frame attached to it. just discard the old wipes and frame.
