Hi All, Just got a 2002 mustang. It has 16 inch wheels and tires on it. Thinking about buying 18x9 front and 18x10 rear, any advice?

Hi All, Just got a 2002 mustang. It has 16 inch wheels and tires on it. Thinking about buying 18x9 front and 18x10 rear bullit style, any advice on tire size for that set up or should I go with 17's?

First question that should be asked is:

Does this car have ABS brakes? IF so, EXPECT problems with false ABS brake activation when unequal tire diameters are used.

FYI (after you ponder the potential of ABS issues), I have 18x9s with 255/40-18 fronts and 275/40-18 rears on my 2000 (my ABS module died long before I acquired the car). My car retains the factory springs...there are no clearance issues. When picking a tire size, consider the new diameters vs your rear end ratio and speedometer calibration.
