I'm hoping I can get expert advice re my 92 GT. Sure I can check youtube videos, but I figure you guys are the experts. My GT hatchback has 96,000 actual miles and I don't drive it that much anymore. It's in excellent condition but appears to have an electrical problem. The battery drains overnight and the relatively few times I drive it, I have to jump start it using my other car. It seems like a parasitic battery drain problem because the battery is fine and pulling fuses hasn't revealed any circuits which are open. I figure it's a voltage regulator problem and since that's attached to the alternator, I might as well replace both. Either way, I'd have to pull the 27 year old original alternator. Any opinions on the 75 amp AC Delco 3351100, which is supposedly an exact fit? I can get that new at Rockauto, whereas most of what's at auto parts places are remanufactured units.
