We just bought a 66 Mustang coupe my husband is doing the restoring and I am doing most of the research. He is having a problem getting the reverse lights out of the housing. They are stuck

I believe you are talking about the bulbs?
Yes ,they can be hard to remove . Spray WD40 in the socket ,push in on the bulb and turn ,it is spring loaded . Sometimes you have to pull on the wires on the back to help compress the internal spring ,but dont pull so hard you pull out the wires . Be careful and wear leather gloves ,the bulb can shatter between your finger and give a nasty cut
