Hidden Switch

Yea basically i found a silver toggle switch on the passenger side of my car under the dash to the left. What is this switch for?

If there is an aftermarket alarm/remote start installed it could be an remote start disabler

Mines got a DVD player in it and the previous owner had a switch hidden under the dash to switch the dvd player mode on and off!

Could be a switch for a chip. trace the wires back and see where they go.
