Didn't do to bad got my new best for now. Ran a 12.46@109 with a 1.60 60' on a R/T of.762.Still didn't pull the wheels (i dont think?) like i wanted to but maybe next time. My best R/T of the night was a .037 this is on a .000 tree but my goal was to #1: pull the wheels, and #2: get a good 60'.My best 60' for the night was a1.562 but my average was a 1.6ish all my 60' times was 1.657,1.602,1.605,1.593,1.600,1.582,1.562 (best),1.609,1.623. My best MPH was 110.03.I noticed my car is a pretty consistent 12.6 car. All my times were 12.625,12.677,12.460 (best),12.847,12.706,12.687,12.686,1 2.690.Once i get the pics from Ben I'll see if i pulled the wheels, and post them.peace

Looks good, your car 60`s about like mine. Are you 5 speed or auto ? like to see what it would do if you had 3.73 or 4.10`s

I see, two cars and the other has 3.55`s. In that case I feel better- you 4.10`s me 3.73`s same 60'
you won't pull the wheels with a 1.6x 60'. I personally haven't seen any wheels come off the ground until it's less than 1.4x........not saying its not possible though ha

you may not have seen them till 1.4's but i have on 1.5's and higher. I went to the NMRA races and they dam near bumper stand them with 1.5's all day. i also watched my videos from saturday night on a 60" TV tonight and i'm about 80% sure i pulled the driver wheel in 2 runs!

No brake, I leave off idle (1100 rpm) I have tire spin issues this year, last year 1.56 this year 1.62 60'.
Im working on getting more front strut travel as I only have 3" and need more like 5"

Are you sure about the compression? If you have a 77-93 Windsor block the dish is only about .10 designed to produce 8.2 to 1 compression with 69cc chambered D78 heads. With AFR heads (58cc) , you should have compression in the mid 9's. Those are huge injectors. I ran 24's with my 351 and it still ran rich -and that car ran 11's. Your cam is tiny but you are still leaving a lot on the table with your combo. You have good heads, something doesn't add-up. What is the best mph you've run?

I've seen a 347 run on 98% duty cycle with 30's and a shop told me to run 42's as well as a few others on this site as well as diffrent stangs sites.Yes i'm sure my block is a 74 and it came with 8:1 with 60 some CC heads stock. My best MPH with it is 110.03. What would you change with my combo to not leave as much on the table? peace

It's a 74 block so, yes, you have .26 dished pistons and very low compression. The best way to overcome the low compression is to spin the thing at higher rpm, but your small cam and long runner intake keep that from being effective. The injectors are too big but I wouldn't spend the money for smaller ones. You have an odd aggregate of parts. I see no cheap and easy solution. You need some compression, or a turbo.

Agreed
Except I would use a roots or twin screw blower, you will have a tough time getting a decent turbo to spool well with that combo.
Why didn’t you build it with a decent cam and compression? You could have just rocked a mostly stock 302 and gone faster…

well cause i for 1 kinda jumped the gun with the compression deal. i didn't know the compression was that low till after i built the motor, witch is why i went with 58cc heads,i did however know the pistons were dished.I called lunitti and got there suggestion on the cam and thats what they suggested,as well as a build thread and nobody spoke up for my cam choice. Not till after i posted the dyno results did people start speaking up about my cam size. That is the plan is to go turbo and get a Curtis or another custom ground cam. for now it will be a shot of nitrous. peace

I still think it is a band aid on a broken elbow, but be very careful with your turbo selection…
How fast do you want this car to be?

i have no power or fast goal in plans. The only goal was to pull the wheels! When i do my turbo system or other final power adder i will redo the cam to match whatever it is.peace
