Nor do libs about their hero and first black president as well.

I am getting so sick of this war being politicized by the left that I can't hardly even take it. The rolling death toll is really starting to wear thin on my nerves as well as it's a big F you to those who have died serving this country as they all were there on their own choice and belived in the mission 100%.

They did NOT go in to be used as a politicial tool by a party who still thinks that GWB is running for president again.

Which soldier is being used as a political tool. People are upset with the president's decision to go in. I havae not heard of the same type of protests against soldiers that happened for Vietnam. But hey if we are not allowed to be critical of the president. Then we should hold that true for all politicians. And noone in public office should be criticized for any actions they take. No matter what the outcome.

Bush isn't my savior but he is the President. I think he is wrong on many issues, but we are at war. As far as jokes go, using deaths to insult a President isn't funny. I didn't use those who died in Bosnia under Clinton to insult him...

You are apparently blind. Take a look at the neocon party, they're much better at playing politics than the dems are. All the politicians suck, but more often than not the dems at least have their hearts closer to the right place. That's a hell of a lot more than I can say for the neocons.

Sorry, dude, the big "F you" is directed at you neocons. The soldiers are blameless in this matter. You also presume to know what their beliefs are, and why they are in Iraq. That is insulting.

That would be the neocon party you are describing. Lets not forget who ordered our fine soldiers into that ****hole. And lets also not forget that the original target of our wrath remains free, in an entirely different country. Convenient to forget that. Even if we succeed (whatever that means) in Iraq, if we don't get the asshat that started the mess then we've failed.

I'll give you one thing... you guys rewrite history better than anybody in recent memory.

I don't post alot, but I feel I must. First I could care less who is in office at this point. I knew when I got staioned here (Ft.Lewis)I would have to endure a predominatly liberal state. I have accepted that.

I believe what Jordan is referring to is how a majority of soldiers feel when they hear people, or politicians use the number of soldiers that have died as way to blame one another. We feel like crap! To top it off, we get to see people demonstrate against the war. Us older soldiers know why they protest and we deal with it for what it is(the right soldiers like us uphold). My younger soldiers don't understand and see it from this point of view: "If you oppose and talk bad about the war, then you are also talking about me right?" It is hard not to feel that way when we can't leave Iraq and do believe what we are doing is right. At this point It doesn't matter who sent us, does it? We are there and now we can't leave. I hope you can see it from the point of view of the 18-19 year olds that make up 75% of the military.

I could care less about the jokes about the President, that is the beauty of being American.

I hope you all will take this post for what it is, just an old soldier point of view. Thanks for letting me get that off my chest.
God bless America!!!

That's right, don't look at the outcome, look at the intent. That's the whole purpose behind the democratic party. We had our hearts in the right place and that's all that matters. It did not matter that we messed things up in (insert situation here) it was the intent we had in accomplishing it.

That's right the soldiers are innocent, yet we will use anything we can to exploit them no matter who it affects.

Before you go spouting any more mis-information you might want to find out a bit more of the person your trying to slam. I work with Iraqi veterans on a daily basis. I work at the VA hospital in the Emergency Department and we treat them on a daily basis. Some have been medi-vaced and a guy I worked on three days ago was on the ground less then 24 hours before I layed hands on him. I talk to them on a daily basis, I know what they went through, I know what they think, I know what they believe, I know what their fears and successes have been. I talk to them about why they went into the service, and what would make them put their own lives on the line for people they don't even know. I get to know them on a personal basis because being paralyzed from the waist down I could not go and do what they are doing and feel the most tremendous feeling of debt and gratitude for those willing to pay the ultimate sacrifice for our country, and for people they don't even know. I know more then you could even imagine and know why it was that they went into the military so don't tell me that I don't know what I am talking about as I know more then you. Your mis-informed comments and armchair quarterbacking is truly insulting.

You have no clue in the world where the hell Osama is as he could be buried inside a mountain in Afghanistan as our planes blew the isht out of their mountains day after day where he was thought to have been. There are some areas where some mountains now cease to exist as they dropped 4 or 5 MOAB missiles and demolished the areas the Taliban and Bin Laden were reported to been residing.

He has produced absolutely NOTHING that can be authenticated to prove that he is alive. I love how you are saying that it's the Republicans who have sent us into Iraq, yet you quickly forget that Hillary Clinton, Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, Nancy Pelosi, Bill Clinton, Chuck Schumer and the list goes on and on.....all of your leaders in the Democratic party viewed the exact same information as the president did and voted for the war. They said things very similar to John Kerry who on one occasion said "If you don't think that Saadam was a threat and had WMD's you should not vote for me. It's the Dem's who are trying to re-write history not the republicans as your post so easily proves. You totaly forgot that all your leaders save what 5 of them voted to take us into war....but that's right it's all the neocons that are changing history.

You have absolutely 0 understanding of how to fight a war, nor vision on what it takes to succeed or what constitutes success. You just sit back in the comfort of your home, in a free country thanks to people who do know how to run and fight a war and chastise them, you re-write history and bitch when you have zero ideas on how to make it or run it any better.

You my friend are a hero to me, and someone that I look up to and hope that my children will do the same as well.

Thank you for your service to this country and know that there are people here who have your back no matter what.

This is the exact reason that what the Dems are doing is so wrong. The last thing these people need to worry about when they are in harms way is the b.s that's happening right now. The last thing they need to worry about when they are dealing with the fact that they at 18-25 years of age and still being a child themselves have just taken a human life, and the fact that people are politicizing this pisses me off.

They are right, when you are opposing the war you are opposing them, as you can't have it both ways. I support the troops but don't support the war.......can't happen.

99.9% of them believe in why they are there, they believe in the mission at hand, they believe in their Commander in Chief, they believe in their superiors, they see the successes that the mainstream media so conveniently omits from t.v and major media outlets and there are thousands of them who re-up and go back because they believe in it so greatly and want to see success.

I work with them on a daily basis, and love our armed forces with all my heart. He is right, the right to debate, and the right to free speech is what they are all about, and what they are protecting on a daily basis.

God Bless you!

Ditto. There are a lot more of us that feel this way than there are that oppose the war, republicans, conservatives or anything else that is trendy at the time. Some of these arguments make me sick.

You must be talking about some branch of the military that I am not familiar with when you say 99.9% believe in why they are there. I have a cousin in special forces who says that the majority of the soldiers that he has been with do not care at this point why they are there and are more interested in their own survival and that of their fellow soldiers. In fact, most of them realize that what is going on in Iraq is a farce and occured for all of the wrong reasons.

This is also a claim that has been backed up and reported on by many credible news sources, both in the US and abroad.

I personally support our soldiers both in Iraq and at home (and everywhere else) and I strongly believe that the best way to support our soldiers is by urging the government to get them out of Iraq and out of harms way. Iraq is not a justifiable war by any means and to let another soldier die for this administration (that just vetoed a bill to obligate oil companies to share their record (windfall) profits) is shameful.
