I am getting so sick of this war being politicized by the left that I can't hardly even take it. The rolling death toll is really starting to wear thin on my nerves as well as it's a big F you to those who have died serving this country as they all were there on their own choice and belived in the mission 100%.
They did NOT go in to be used as a politicial tool by a party who still thinks that GWB is running for president again.
You are apparently blind. Take a look at the neocon party, they're much better at playing politics than the dems are. All the politicians suck, but more often than not the dems at least have their hearts closer to the right place. That's a hell of a lot more than I can say for the neocons.Johnnb said:I am getting so sick of this war being politicized by the left that I can't hardly even take it.
Sorry, dude, the big "F you" is directed at you neocons. The soldiers are blameless in this matter. You also presume to know what their beliefs are, and why they are in Iraq. That is insulting. The rolling death toll is really starting to wear thin on my nerves as well as it's a big F you to those who have died serving this country as they all were there on their own choice and belived in the mission 100%.
That would be the neocon party you are describing. Lets not forget who ordered our fine soldiers into that ****hole. And lets also not forget that the original target of our wrath remains free, in an entirely different country. Convenient to forget that. Even if we succeed (whatever that means) in Iraq, if we don't get the asshat that started the mess then we've failed. They did NOT go in to be used as a politicial tool by a party who still thinks that GWB is running for president again.

I'll give you one thing... you guys rewrite history better than anybody in recent memory.

I believe what Jordan is referring to is how a majority of soldiers feel when they hear people, or politicians use the number of soldiers that have died as way to blame one another. We feel like crap! To top it off, we get to see people demonstrate against the war. Us older soldiers know why they protest and we deal with it for what it is(the right soldiers like us uphold). My younger soldiers don't understand and see it from this point of view: "If you oppose and talk bad about the war, then you are also talking about me right?" It is hard not to feel that way when we can't leave Iraq and do believe what we are doing is right. At this point It doesn't matter who sent us, does it? We are there and now we can't leave. I hope you can see it from the point of view of the 18-19 year olds that make up 75% of the military.
I could care less about the jokes about the President, that is the beauty of being American.
I hope you all will take this post for what it is, just an old soldier point of view. Thanks for letting me get that off my chest.
God bless America!!!

Thank you for your service to this country and know that there are people here who have your back no matter what.
This is the exact reason that what the Dems are doing is so wrong. The last thing these people need to worry about when they are in harms way is the b.s that's happening right now. The last thing they need to worry about when they are dealing with the fact that they at 18-25 years of age and still being a child themselves have just taken a human life, and the fact that people are politicizing this pisses me off.
They are right, when you are opposing the war you are opposing them, as you can't have it both ways. I support the troops but don't support the war.......can't happen.
99.9% of them believe in why they are there, they believe in the mission at hand, they believe in their Commander in Chief, they believe in their superiors, they see the successes that the mainstream media so conveniently omits from t.v and major media outlets and there are thousands of them who re-up and go back because they believe in it so greatly and want to see success.
I work with them on a daily basis, and love our armed forces with all my heart. He is right, the right to debate, and the right to free speech is what they are all about, and what they are protecting on a daily basis.
God Bless you!
