Im trying to change my filter but whenever I pull the hose off one end of the old filter gas sprays EVERYWHERE and I have to pop it back on. I used to just open the gas tank on my old truck and that would work fine.

I unplugged the thing by the drivers tail light and let it run till it died.

And who knew bees were attracted to gas. Plus I think I have a chemical burn lol.

I love the smell of gasoline all over my shirt.

You can do it with the schraeder valve on the rail, or by tripping the inertia switch and starting the car. After a few seconds the car should die, and the pressure will be relieved.

I always unplug the inertia switch in the trunk and crank the motor for 20 seconds or so.

You could also unplug the coil or anything else to make it not start.

Unplugging the coil wouldnt releave the pressure. It has to run all the gas out of the lines. I just did the switch in the trunk and ran it for like a minute.

I must be missing something here.

EDIT: AHHHHHHH
I see what he was saying. but why would you constantly crank it as opposed to letting it just run out og gas? It obly took like a minute.

If you don't end up with gas running into your armpit, you're not doing it right.
