i gave my car a little look over and noticed a hole in my muffler about the size of my palm. Can this be patched or should i go ahead and get it replaced? also, would it sound weird to have to different mufflers? i plan on doing the whole exhaust soon but i dont have the funds for it at the moment. Or will the hole be ok for the time being? sorry, in new at this, thanx in advance for any help.

I supposed you could weld a patch on there until you buy new mufflers.. if your buying a new system soon that is.

If your not buying new exhaust for a while, i would go ahead and replace the mufflers... cheapest mufflers (quiet ones) are like $50 a pop from any exhaust shop.

hmmm...i think you may be able to patch it with some of that exhaust leak wrap/patch stuff that u can get at auto zone. I have one question though, a hole the size of your palm? thats huge...wasnt the car loud as hell with a big ass hole like that. I would have thought u would notice that right away. anyways good luck with that

Any muffler shop should be able to do it... i would think no more than $40 depending on the hole etc. You should call a muffler shop, see what the cheapester muffler is... probably $40-$60.
