Hood pin Question?

Who here has them and how did you install thgem meaning were did you place them? Pictures would be cool if you have any thanks

mine are in the front hood bumper holes

Thats a great idea...easy to install and line up im guessing....lol

Mine are where the hood bumpers were too. Crappy pic but gives you an idea.

I use these on my mustang and i installed the rods go where the factory bump stops go. They work nice, lock and are flush. Theres also a non locking version.

I too have used the factory hood bumper location. The only problem w/ using that area is that alot of those hood pin kits come w/ a supplied backing plate, and that area is double wall.

Also whatever you do, do not use the cheap-assed torsion clips that the parts stores sell. (the 19.99-29.99 sets) The torsion clips fail if they are flipped too far and literally come out of their holes, The chrome plating sucks ass, and.....well,.. that's all

There has the be a fail-safe alternative to hood pins. I hate the idea of drilling through a brand new fiberglass hood (again), and I don't like the look of them on certain cars. I may have to figure out a way to fab up some kind of "hood leash" that tethers the hood to the frame.
