today i picked up a set of drag rims, 2 draglites to match my set now so i wont mismatch at the track and will look better.

anyways they are 15x8 4.5"BS with a 26x10.5 ET street on them.

the tires have less than 10 passes on them and need to know if these things need a real smokey burnout or not. and whats a good tire PSI to start with so i can dial in from there??

and how do these things hook. i have ran some BFG and Hoosier quicktime pros both drag radials and they hooked decent. these tires i am told are a step up from an average DR but dont require tubes like a true wrinkle wall...

these are running tubeless BTW if that would have a difference on how it would hook, which i doubt it does.

since you most likely dont have a line lock, do a good 3 burns on them.. i role through the box, spin it to get em wet, stop, rev and nail it.. let it role forward some, back up and repeat, and again backup and repeat.. i dont have traction problems when i do that

Yep i agree, use 11 psi on mine, just watch out, the car tends to wobble back and forth at the end of the run.
Got a line lock on mine and use second gear for the burn out. 4.10 gears, Also running tubeless on mine to.

Are they the Actual E/T streets, or E/T street Drag radials. I have the drag radials on my car now, and they actually hook pretty much as well as my Old E/T Streets did. I ran 12 p.s.i in my E/T Streets and roughly 15 in the DR's. My ET streets were kind of scary tho out crusing sat nights., i think someone said it before, but you can feel the car moving around on them. the DR's are normal even when low in P.S.I.

I run them on my Cobra. I move into the box, set the line loc, engage 2nd gear and bring the revs up to 5K. I then dump the clutch and count to 10 (keeping the rpms at 4,500 or so), while watching for smoke in the side mirrors. I then move up to the line and bring the revs up to 5K. When the last Yellow lights, I dump the clutch and move off the line with no tire spin. I regularly cut 1.64 - 1.75 '60 foot times on my way to 12.50's @ 109. They're good tires but I don't recommend using them on the street, as everything sticks to them and the possibility of running something over is high.

I've found that they work best just spinning them enough till they start to smoke, then back up and hit the line. Do NOT do any short hops. I was getting consistent 1.47 60' times like this and 118 trap speeds

Drive around the water, back into the burnout box (keeping you front tires dry so they wont spin off water to the back ones) sencond gear bunout til they smoke, roll to the line.

I have only done it twice and it scared the hell out of me, they chirp and hook!
