Do you need to take out the fuel rails or is that not necessary. Basically how do you change your spark plugs.
Thanks

You can work around the fuel rails with no problems. Here's a link: http://www.bullittarchive.com/Maintenance/Spark_Plugs/

you don't have to take off your fuel rails. It helps a bit to remoce the air intake tube leading from the throttle body to the fenderwell area. also, you may need to unhook a few harnesses on the passenger side. Just unscrew each bolt holding the spark plug cap down, carefully pull up on the spark plug cap, being careful not to detach the top part from the bottom. Don't let dirt and stuff get down in the spark plug hole...it might get in the cylinder head, which wouldn't be good. you may want to blow off the top of your intake area to get rid of the settled dust and dirt before you start. After you remove the sparkplug cap and rubber boot, just use a spark plug socket( I got mine at Sears-they're pretty much standard) to remove the spark plug. On the drivers side, just a few extensions will be fine, but for the passengers side, you'll need a swivel to make your job easier. Once you remove the old sparkplugs, just reverse the process when installing the new ones. One tip for installing the new ones....screw it in by hand so you don't strip the threads in the cylinder heads. That would not be good. After installing the new sparkplugs, just reattach everything that you removed and start it up. Good luck
