w-strips

Hey Jaz Ive had mine sitting on the shelf for over two years. Talked to a glass man and he said they should just slide out if lubed real good. That didn't work. Ford only sells the whole quarter window with wstrip already on. wish I could help but nobody ever has given me the correct answer yet

You can't, it is an encapsulated peice, which means the rubber comes molded onto the 1/4 windows. Even working for an autoglass company, and discounted beyond belief, they are still expensive. Hell I got my windshield for 75 bucks, and I still can't get the 1/4 windows for less then 175 each.

Well that sucks because I thought it was replacable because you can order that piece at 50resto. So the only way to do it is by buying the windows themselves?

Well I'm talking about the one on the quater window itself. It's the verticle piece that sits between the front window and the back. Well thanks for the help UDSmith. I just don't understand why 50resto would even sell them if they knew that!

If the 5.0Resto piece does not clamp onto the quarter window like the original, you might cut the original off with a cutting wheel. Why don't you ask 5.0Resto how it attached to the window.
